This is a repurposed renovation of a historic building on one of the most architecturally significant main streets in the state of Maine. It was originally the headquarters for the New England Odd Fellows Association built in the late 19th century. With a history of different reuses, 44 North Architects was hired to design a mixed-use of commercial retail space with apartments ranging from studios to two-bedroom suites. The project requires intensive collaboration with a preservation Architect for the developer to acquire the historic tax credits offered by the Department of the Interior, Parks and Recreation division. The building is six stories and includes 30,000sf of extensive renovations. The project is due to be completed in 2023.
