The Pemaquid Trail project represents a 3,500 square foot addition and complete makeover of a 24’ x 30’ Sears and Roebuck kit home from the 1960’s. The original structure was covered in log slab siding adorned in a Swiss Chalet aesthetic. The original “chalet” cottage held significant nostalgic value to the owner. It was originally built by his father and having “grown up” there during his summers it was a given that the old place had to be revamped and incorporated into the new. The addition was skewed slightly to make better use of a view corridor looking south to Johns Bay.
